10 Tips for Nixing Your Sugar Fix

Sugar is one of the most addictive foods on the market today, and you don’t have to be eating candy and cookies to overdo it.  Sugar is practically in everything we eat nowadays, from sauces to breads – nothing is safe.  You may not think you are eating a whole lot of this sweet white powder but this stuff is extra sneaky.  Did you know that it only takes 4g of sugar to equal ONE sugar cube?!

Or that the average American eats an estimated 130 pounds of sugar per year? Hidden sugars can add up very quickly, its not just in your common junk food but it can be found in even the healthy stuff.  The more you learn about this “legal crack” the better you can manage your intake so you can stay healthy and happy!  Use my 10 tips for nixing your sugar fix and you will be well on your way.

caffeine affects your blood sugar levels, which in turn can cause more cravings plus dehydration.  Cut back on the caffeine and your sugar cravings will decrease drastically.

Screen Shot 2015-02-19 at 12.52.39 AM the first sign of dehydration is hunger, and in many cases it can cause sweet cravings.  Have a glass of water before meals or when you experience random cravings and see how your body feels a few minutes after.
